Take an ancestor on trek

To make your Trek experience even more meaningful, we invite you to invite you to "take an ancestor" with you as you participate in the Providence 6th Ward Trek activities. Maybe you have an ancestor in the Martin and Willey handcart companies or an ancestor who traveled in a different company. You can see all of your pioneer ancestors by ...

1. Going to the FamilySearch.org web site.

2. Log in.

3. Go to the discover page by entering the following web address: https://familysearch.org/discovery/. 

4. Click on the "view all" link to the right of the "All about your ancestors" section.

5. Scroll down to and click on "Pioneer Ancestors."

Here is a quick five minute video that will show you how to do this.

When you find a Pioneer Ancestor you would like to be part of your Trek journey, please email Madeline or Tom Chandler, their emails are in your Tools app, and let them know the name of the ancestor you have selected.

Taking an ancestor with you on Trek can be a very incredible experience so please ask the Lord to help guide you as you search for an ancestor.
